CARDIGAN/JACKET CLASS Kenneth D. King Princess Seam Woman's Cardigan/Jacket Class using KNIT FABRICS
This jacket may be lined or unlined, with or without facings, with or without bound edges or lengthened torso. Fabrics may be knits, stretch woven fabric, woven fabric, boucle, tweeds, sweater knits or double faced
1st class – October 2, 2-5 pm. Your pattern will be altered to fit your measurement before sewing. Bring in your pattern and fabric to this class. Layout, cut and mark pattern pieces.
* 2nd class – November 13, 2-5 pm. OPTIONAL Test fabric to select fusible interfacing. Fuse interfacing to facings. Test stitching and start sewing the bodice. Fit the bodice. If you choose to make this out of knit with a ribbing neckline or facing you may be finished at the end of this class. If you need another class, you may register for it at the end of this class.
** 3rd class - December 4, 2-5 pm, Set in sleeves. OPTIONAL Cut out lining and sew together. Attach lining to jacket. If you choose to make an unlined woven or stretch woven jacket with a facing you may be finished at the end of this class. ***4th class - December 18, 2-5, Finishing If you choose to make a lined garment or garment with a binding, you should be finished at the end of this class. Click here $260 tuition

She received her teaching degree in K-12 grades and studied art, clothing and textiles at Central Washington University, pattern-making and CAD at Gerber Technology, fashion design at the Paris Fashion Institute, pattern-making and construction techniques with Kenneth D. King and countless others.
Throughout her career she developed workshops and fashion shows, hired instructors and conducted fashion and fabric shopping field trips to Portland, San Francisco and New York. Ryliss has been a Contributing Editor at Sew News Magazine, Threads Magazine, judge for the 2014 RAGS Benefit, District Director for the Make it With Wool contest, and a judge for Washington State 4-H Dress Revue and host of Instagram's Sew Photo Challenge for the past 5 years, #sewApril2021.
