Ryliss Bod's Princess Seam Hooded Coat PAPER Pattern Sizes 48-62" Bust/Chest

A limited number of these patterns are available in paper form. has printed the pattern in a lightweight pattern paper. The sizes are in various colors.
  • This pattern is sized by your bust measurement 48” to 62” bust measurement.
  • Lengthen and Shorten Lines are included in the pattern pieces.
  • This is an unlined coat pattern that looks best with fabrics that look good on both sides, from light weight to heavy weight fabrics.
  • This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner to sew.

Here are some samples of the coats made during the testing period.
This one I did not use princess seams, I overlapped them and used a slot pocket  which has a  greater difficulty level. The fabric is a Malden Mills Soft Shell from the Mill End Store in Portland, WA.

I love this plaid version.  I used  an uneven plaid and could not match the plaid lines on the top of the sleeve.  Next time I will use an even plaid.  I camouflage it with a black knit ruffle. The fabric is a washable wool blend from Pacific Fabrics in Seattle, WA.

I love this blue cashmere from Metro Textiles at  I doubled the front and lined  it with a silk  print lining.

Do you think I have enough coats?
The purple coat was made by Debbie Hale in one of my coat classes.  The fabric is a Malden Mills Soft  Shell from the Mill End Store in Portland, Oregon. The Red Solid is a Malden Mills Soft Shell from the Mill  End Store in Portland, Oregon.  The Red Plaid was made with patch pockets and I eliminated the princess seams so I wouldn't have to match so many plaid lines.  This is a washable wool blend fabric from the flat folds table at Pacific Fabrics in Seattle.  The double sided faux leather and faux sherpa was purchased at New York Fabrics at the Sew Expo in Puyallup, WA
