Since moving to the U.S. in 1993, Júlio has thrived in the fashion industry for over 30 years, showcasing his unique talents in collage on fabric. His creations, known for their strength, vibrancy, and originality, have been featured in prestigious venues like the New Museum and various New York City fashion shows.
Júlio established himself as a respected figure in fashion by pioneering his own techniques. His artworks are characterized by strength, vibrant colors, and captivating designs, emphasizing quality and originality that are immediately apparent.s
Throughout his career, Júlio has crafted sophisticated and innovative pieces for various notable figures and institutions in the U.S. These include Koos Van Den Akker, Sherry Bronfman, Lauren Hutton, Alyce Santoro, Schaumburg Center, Desingtex, The New Museum, Joan Hardy Clark, and Zenobia Lee. In Brazil, Júlio has collaborated with Lia de Itamaracá, Pinga Store, Casa de Antonia, Teresa Cristina, and Martinho da Vila.s
