Kenneth D. King Ready-To-Wear Blazer Class
In this hands-on 3-day class, Kenneth will teach you construction and soft tailoring techniques to achieve professional results in a classic blazer. You will use these techniques for a multitude of garments in your sewing adventures. Students in this in-person class will also receive the instruction videos for the online version, so you can refer back to them whenever you wish/need.
As a pre-requisite to the class, students can arrange a 1-hour private Zoom session with Kenneth to address any fit issues, answer questions, and prep for the class. The session is included in the class fee.
Class size is limited to 10 students. Kenneth will use the Closet Core Jasika Blazer. Select the print or PDF pattern. This pattern is to be used for the samples, but you may use any jacket pattern that you have fitted via a muslin.
Students need to bring a sewing machine to class. There are also 4 loaner machines available on a first-come first-serve basis. Click Here
This class is open to intermediate- to advanced-level sewists, women and men, age 18 and up. I'll send a class supplies list and other information once you have registered for the class.

0-20 size range is based on a B cup bust with an average height of 5'-6". Please note that B cup does not refer to bra sizing, but rather the difference in inches between high and full bust. A 2" difference between those measurements is equivalent to a B cup (a difference of 1"= A cup, 2" = B cup, 3" = C cup etc.) If the difference between your high bust and full bust is higher than 2", you may need to make a full bust adjustment for select patterns.

| Instructor Bio: | Kenneth is a professor at F.I.T. (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York and the Sewing and Design School. Kenneth won the Association of Sewing and Design Professional's 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award. He is known for his articles in Threads Magazine, his books, CD books, TV show (?Sewing Today?), and "Jean-ius" an online class at www.craftys.com , as well as his excellent teaching skills and his dashing personal style.
