x Private Fabric Shopping Lesson with Ryliss Bod at a Fabric Store.

A private lesson with Ryliss Bod at Billie's Designer Fabrics. Please email Ryliss@comcast.net to set up a date.

Billie’s Designer Fabrics has a wide variety of “A” quality fashion fabrics, arranged by color (that makes shopping easier).

This private lesson will help you
* learn how to select fabrics
*discuss how they sew up
*explain how the fabrics affect different designs
*tips on how to wash the fabric for the best life of the fabric
*share information about the wearing characteristics to expect out of the fabrics... can you tell I love fabrics ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Billie’s also carries top quality sewing threads. That’s another mystery I will solve.
Hint👉Use an “ All Purpose” or “Sews All” type of sewing thread to sew your garments. The thickness is what sewing machine factories set your tension dials to for the best stitch.

You don’t want to select Embroidery thread for garment construction, that’s for embroidery. It’s tensile strength is weak and it breaks if you use it for seaming. It’s meant to lay on the surface for a design on your fabric.

And don’t use topstitching thread for seaming. It needs a needle with a larger eye, the topstitching needle. Your “all purpose” thread is strong enough to hold seams together. You do not need to “over kill” with a stronger thread.😂
