Are you interested in making your own Jeans that fit First we will take your measurements* Secondly, we alter the Pattern** Thirdly, you sew a muslin. Next, we check the fit and apply the alterations to the pattern.Then the construction starts.

Classes are set in 2 hour blocks of time. Sewing machines and sergers are available touse or bring your own.

*In the first class after taking your measurements, you will practice the alterations on the 1/4 and 1/3 scale patterns. Fabric types will be discussed and their preparation. NO SUPPLIES ARE NEEDED FOR THE FIRST CLASS.

Buy 2 patterns, one for stretch woven jeans and one for woven jeans. Bring these to the second class, along with the fabric to make your sample jeans. This is called a muslin. Select fabrics similar in weight, stretch and/or non-stretch to you final jeans fabric. They may possibly turned into a wearable muslin if the fit is close so pre-shrink the fabric.

Fabric, thread, patterns. Buy 2 of either Simplicity 8222 or Simplicity 8516 patterns.
